4. Wait for at least 2 minutes, and put the batteries back in. Plug the Firestick into your TV.
5. After the home screen appears, press the Home button for 40 seconds. 
6. A progress bar will appear on the screen, wait for it to complete.

How to Reset Alexa Voice Remote (first generation fire tv)

Note: The Alexa Voice Remote 1st gen doesn’t have volume and power buttons.

1. Remove the Firestick from the HDMI port, and wait 2 minutes.
2. Grab the remote and press the Left and Menu buttons at the same time. Hold these buttons for at least 12-15 seconds. 
3. Release the buttons and wait for 5 seconds. Now remove the batteries from the remote.
